If you want to learn the secrets of wild edible plants that are super nourishing and free, then keep reading...

The problem is, you live in an urban area, or you don't have a (grand)father/mother around who remembers the old ways, or you simply feel overwhelmed and you just don’t know where to start.

But you have a big desire to live in a sustainable way, increasing your family's health.

Maybe you already know a bit about wild edibles, you may have experienced with stinging nettle and dandelion, but you don't know how to go from there.

Perhaps you're a big fan of organic, locally grown food, but maybe your wallet is not.

Or you don't have a big garden and think your foraging plans will stay a dream rather than a real possibility. Or you do have a garden, and want to find out what you can do with the weeds you keep pulling out.

Does any of this sound familiar? Well, then you have come to the right place!
"Wildly Nourished is hands down the best foraging resource for beginning herbmamas I’ve read.
This is the wild foraging book I’ve been waiting for."

Foraging has been done throughout ages and in all cultures, by people like you and me. Information on wild edibles was passed down from generation to generation. Until that suddenly stopped, one or two generations ago. Let’s change this now, and reclaim this vital skill, and at the same time also improve both our and the planet's health!

I'm Leaf and I have been working for more than 10 years as a herbalist and wild edibles expert. I have been foraging for many years. Some of the time without garden at all, a lot of the time in the city, and since four years with my beloved twins. We are able to get a huge amount of our food for free and turn them into superfood dishes that the kids love.

We love this close relationship with what we put in our mouth. There's something very empowering about it, apart from the fact that it's a lot of fun.

What is Wildly Nourished all about?

I wrote 'Wildly Nourished. A family guide to wild edible greens, flowers, roots and seeds' to help you to get access to the knowledge a lot of us have lost. I have been doing wild food walks for more than a decade, and people told me it was hard to remember all if the information I shared. So I wrote it down, to reach as many people as possible.

Wildly Nourished is going to give you all the details on 35 commonly found wild edible plants. This book is going to share my long-time experience as a forager, explained in a simple and easy manner.

The book also shares insight on the super-nutrients found in edible weeds, and why eating wild plants is such a good thing for your health.

For whom is Wildly Nourished?

  • People who want  to live in a more self sufficient way and lower their carbon footprint. Wild edibles are foods that are local (zero food miles), don't come in plastic wrappings, and are fresh! Whatever parts you don't eat are easily composted and biodegradable. They grow like crazy without the need of pesticides or artificial fertilizer.

  • People who want to reconnect with nature. Eating the landscape will definitely change your relationship with it. Foraging is a very sensuous activity, one that will satisfy your senses on a deep level. It is in no way comparable to going to the supermarket and fill your bags with corporate-made foods. You'll get to spend more time outdoors and enjoy earth's abundance.

  • People who want to increase their (and their family's) health. Wild edible plants have way more nutrients then cultivated foods (even organic ones!).  In fact, they have a much higher vitamin- and mineral content and contain some phyto-nutrients that are the missing link in our daily diet.

  • People with a deep love for real foods. Get excited about new ingredients, new flavours, new recipes. Some of the highest-rate restaurants work with these plants, and the book tells you exactly how you can use them too.

  • People who love frugal living an want to save money. Food prices are going up, but edible weeds are freely accessible to everyone, no matter where you live or what your financial situation is. Even if you only prepare five of the recipes in the book (there are over 30 recipes!), your investment has already been paid back.

  • People who want to explore new flavours. The best restaurants in the world are already on the wild edibles train. Do you want to join or stay behind?

  • People who follow a vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, slowfood, primal or paleo diet/lifestyle. Being the mother of a son diagnosed with gluten allergy, I know the challenges of finding the right recipes. Not only will wild edibles increase the nourishment in your diet, you'll be able to use a lot of the recipes in your daily life AND they'll taste delicious as well.
